Precipitation sensors THIES CLIMA are used to determine the instantaneous intensity of precipitation. Thus, control and warning signals can be received. Precipitation is determined by optoelectronic method on a measuring area of approximately 25 cm2. The measuring signal at the output depends on the analog value of the precipitation intensity. The built-in heating element prevents the formation of a crust of snow and ice during winter operation.
